A Word From The Artist
Over the years, I devoted myself more freely (and feverishly) to the exploration of a new creative direction: the jewel-sculpture. Through this specific process, I foresaw a potential for expanding the limits of traditional jewelry. No more will the jewel be a mere “ready to wear” object that only comes alive as it is displayed on the body and then disappear with others in a box. The jewel rises now to sculptural status as it rests on a pedestal (or as a mobile) which, through harmony of shape and line, becomes its extension. Far more than a receptacle, this support offers the jewel a new vocation, a second life. The jewel conquers space.
